Use Apptonic inside Claude
Ask your own assistant who is running ads for your competitor, what is going viral in your niche, or which creators to brief — and it answers from Apptonic's live library, as you.

What your assistant can do
12 tools, all read-only except the two bookmark actions. Your assistant picks the right one — you just ask in plain language.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
search_apptonic | Search Apptonic's library of TikTok/Instagram videos, App Store / Google Play apps, and creators. Returns the most relevant records with their key metrics and a link to the record in Apptonic. Ads are not searchable yet. |
get_app_details | Full profile of ONE app: every store listing with rating, monthly downloads and revenue, its competitors, and the organic videos promoting it. Use this before any deep answer about a specific app (teardown, head-to-head, 'who promotes it'). Takes the numeric app id from a search result's link. |
browse_apps | Filtered listing of Apptonic's app library with monthly downloads and revenue. Use for ranking questions ('top fitness apps by revenue') and category sweeps; use search_apptonic when you have a fuzzy text query. |
browse_organic | Filtered listing of TikTok / Instagram videos in the library, with virality score, views and likes. Filters cover the AI facets (content type, hook, tone, CTA, audience) plus platform, language, category and recency. Default sort is most viral. |
browse_ads | Filtered listing of Meta ads run by apps: advertiser, creative copy, format, how long each ad has been live. Long-running active ads are proven winners. Default: active app ads, longest-running first. |
browse_creators | Filtered listing of TikTok / Instagram creators: followers, videos in the library, average virality, which apps they promote. Use to build creator shortlists for a niche. |
get_app_competitors | Competitor apps of ONE app, from Apptonic's research runs. Richer than the short list inside get_app_details. |
get_app_performance | Growth picture of ONE app: monthly downloads + revenue series per store (last 6 months), top countries, and review sentiment. Use for 'is this app growing' and trend questions. |
get_my_app | The signed-in user's own app and their confirmed competitor set. Call this FIRST when the user says 'my app', 'my competitors', or asks for anything personalized — then aim the other tools at what it returns. |
save_item | Bookmark an app, video, creator or ad into the user's Saved tab. Idempotent. |
unsave_item | Remove a bookmark from the user's Saved tab. Idempotent. |
get_credit_balance | The user's plan and monthly credit balance. MCP browse/detail tools are free; in-product AI actions spend credits. |
Ready-made workflows
Clients that support MCP prompts show these in their prompt menu.
Full growth teardown of one app: store performance, competitors, the organic videos and creators behind it, and the ads it runs.
Most viral recent organic content in the user's niche, with the patterns behind it (hooks, formats, tones) and what to copy.
Shortlist of creators proven in the user's niche, ranked by fit, with the evidence (their viral videos, apps they already promote).
Plan, credits and limits
Library data through the connector is part of Premium. On the free plan the connector still installs and signs in — the tools just explain what Premium unlocks. See pricing.
Browse, detail and performance tools cost no credits. Only the semantic search tool spends one, the same as in the app.
Up to 30 tool calls a minute and 1,000 a day per account. Past that the connector asks your assistant to wait rather than failing the conversation.
Privacy
The connector reads Apptonic's library and your own saved items and competitor set. It never reads your chats, and it cannot see anything your account could not already see in the app. You can revoke access at any time from your MCP client, or by removing the connector.
